VIDEO: Father of fallen Little Rock soldier speaks
Via the Blackfive blog, KATV Little Rock has released video from an interview conducted with Daris Long, the father of Private William Long who was gunned down on Monday, allegedly by a recent convert to Islam, Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad (a.k.a. Carl Bledsoe).
Watching this video, Mr. Long’s pain is easy to feel, and should prompt us to send prayers for the soul of Private Long, to the grieving family he left behind, to Private Quinton Ezeagwula (who was also shot and is still recovering from his wounds) and his family, as well as the family of the alleged shooter. The human chain has been breached by this act of wanton violence, and it will be a commitment to reaffirming our humanity that will heal the wounds.
